A powerful learning resource
What makes FunKey Maths Times Table Cards different?
Children don’t struggle with times tables because they’re “bad at maths”.
They struggle because traditional approaches rely heavily on memorization under time pressure, which doesn’t suit many learners.
The FunKey Maths approach is different.
✔ Patterns before memory
Children can SEE how numbers connect, and aren’t just memorizing isolated facts.
✔ Multiple ways in
The cards support visual, verbal, and kinesthetic learning all at the same time - great for everyone!
✔ Low pressure, high engagement
The cards focus attention and games remove fear, allowing children to practise without realising how much learning is happening.
✔ Inclusive by design
The visual designs support lower-attaining pupils, building confidence and participation. Children who have previously not seen the connections start to retain facts.
✔ Proven in real classrooms
Teachers and parents consistently report improved confidence, fluency, and enjoyment.
“This is the first resource that’s really stuck with my class.”
“My child stopped dreading times tables.”
“Even my least confident pupils joined in.”
FunKey Maths doesn’t replace teaching — it supports it, making practice meaningful and enjoyable.
Seeing the connections!
From the outset, the learning is deeper and richer. Children SEE how facts are linked. Build understanding that support long-term recall.
Children explore all the connections between a product and its factors simultaneously, not in artificial silos!
Watch a 10 year old confidently building four different equations around 63 - her commentary shows that she’s not doing it by rote, she understands what the numbers represent!
Watch how structure of the FunKey Times Table Cards helps this 8 year old apply her knowledge of multiplication facts to related division facts.
Colours and patterns
Each times table has its own colour and pattern.
Colours help children remember times table facts.
The background pattern helps children who do not see colour well.
Play Multiple Mayhem to get to know the colours.
There are four colours on card 72, so …
72 is a product in four different times tables!
Products and factors
An ordinary product is in a white circle. The factors are top and bottom.
The cards show factors from the 2 – 12 times tables.
A square number product is in a square. Factors are side to side.
If both factors are the same, they multiply to make a square number.
A prime number product is in a kite. There are no factors on the card.
1 x 5 = 5
5 x 1 = 5
There are no other factors!
